Open Event Resources
Post 16, Apprenticeships, Undergraduate, Access and Part Time courses available
If you are thinking of coming to study at Kingston College then you should come along to one of the many events we hold for those who are interested in what we have to offer. Our timetable of Open Days and Evenings runs throughout the year and offers prospective students and their parents a chance to take a look around the College, visit our centres for specialist areas of study such as the Creative Industries Centre or Arena Sports and speak to tutors and specialist advisers about course options at all levels and in all subject areas. Additionally, individual areas of the College host Information Events around, for example, Apprenticeships and Adult Learning.
Important: We have TWO Campuses open for all our Open Events, for directions take a look at our map of College campuses available on our website or in the Prospectus. Please look at the individual course pages on our website for details of the campus you should visit. The Undergraduate Admissions Team will be available at the Kingston Hall Road campus for any UCAS and Student Finance queries.
- Kingston Hall Road (KHR) campus: All other courses not listed under CIC below. Fashion is based at our Drapers Court Centre (DCC) next door to KHR. Please visit the Team at the Welcome Desk at KHR and you will then be directed to DCC
- Creative Industries Centre (CIC): Courses in Art, Design, Digital Arts, Games Design, Interactive Media, Media, Music, Music Technology, Photography, 3D Design
Do parents/guardians need tickets? No, only people considering studying at Kingston College need a ticket. You are welcome to bring family members along with you; we do ask that if you are under 18 years of age, you should be accompanied by an adult.
The course I am interested in is taught at another campus, should I go straight there? Please take a look at our map of College campuses. Two of our campuses, Kingston Hall Road Centre and the Creative Industries Centre are open for all our Open Events. We recommend that you research where the course you are interested in is delivered by looking at the Campus section on the individual course pages on our website. You should visit the relevant campus as well, if you wish, coming to Kingston Hall Road where you will be able to meet the Principal and take a look at our facilities such as the ACT Theatre, Arena Sports Hall & Gym and the Student Support Centre.
Will I get a chance to speak with a tutor? Tutors from every subject area will be available for you to have a chat with, ask any questions you may have about a particular course and options available to you. In addition you will have the opportunity to speak with our expert advisors about careers, fees and assistance available and a range of other issues that may concern you.
Should I apply on the day? We recommend that you take this opportunity to make an application. At every Open Event there will be a room dedicated to online applications staffed with knowledgeable staff to help you. All our courses were fully enrolled by early September this year so we advise you to apply early to secure your place.
What are Taster Days? To give students the experience of studying their chosen subject at College and find out what it is like to work in a hairdressing salon or an engineering workshop. Details of Taster Days will be available on these pages when times and dates are available.
