Prepares students for transition from the Supported Learning Provision to Level 1 vocational areas.

For learners who may need support prior to entry into a Level 1 programme.

Learners will benefit from the support of a specialist team where they will complete their English and Mathematics qualifications in addition to building on existing skills and achieving new targets.

  • Entry Requirements


    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

    No formal qualifications are required for this course.

  • Course Content


    This course runs over 3 days each week, helping students develop knowledge, understanding and skills needed to manage life and future opportunities. Includes practical sessions in vocational subjects, English and Mathematics delivered at the appropriate level for the individual. Personal learning programmes are designed to suit the learner in their choice of career path to aid progression.

  • Progression Next Steps


    At College: Level 1 Vocational or Supported Internship. Outside College: Employment and/or Voluntary Work and/or other study.

    There are lots of opportunities available to you to progress across the South Thames Colleges Group and into the world beyond education.
