Kingston College Beauty students have been working behind the scenes with the cast of the Rose Theatre’s Christmas Production of Alice in Winterland preparing Alice, the White Rabbit and the Mad Hatter for a teaser trailer and magazine shoot.
The talented Level 3 students Shannon Elmes, Arianna Lemos, Gabriella Binyon, Wiktoria Nowara and Ruchee Gurung who worked on the teaser trailer commented: “We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a great insight to being on a film set.”
Shannon Elmes and Arianna Lemos also provided hair and make up for Alice and make up for the Mad Hatter at a photo shoot for the November issue of Time & Leisure Magazine which took place at the Rose.
Lecturer Christina Eyles commented: “I’m so proud of my students; they were punctual, professional and managed the time schedule brilliantly. They received really positive feedback from the film production team.”
The popular course teaches a variety of techniques including bridal make-up, hair up styles for special occasions, eyelash extensions, anatomy & physiology and social media marketing.

Written by Lewis Carroll, adapted and directed by Ciaran McConville with music and lyrics by Eamonn O’Dwyer, the production features professional actors alongside members of the Rose Youth Theatre.
