Funding Tiers

The amount of funding you are eligible for is dependent on factors including household income. This table shows the household income Tiers and associated funding. 

       Tier 1 Funding (Household income of less than £10,000)

  • Travel Contribution: Distance/ Postcode based travel contribution based on number of days in College
  • Meal Contribution: Meal contribution of £2.41 per College day for 34 weeks
  • Books/ Stationery/UCAS Student Payment Contribution: Contribution of £50
  • Course Specific Materials Contribution: Up to a maximum of £50 for course specific materials (i.e. Art)
  • Course Specific Kit Contribution: 100% of kit costs but only up to a maximum of £313
  • Childcare:children above 3 years of age and up to a maximum contribution of £150 per week per family for full time courses or £100 per week per family for part time courses (or a maximum of 5 additional hours per week if your child is eligible for a Nursery Education Grant). (Paid directly to childcare provider)
  • College Trips Contribution: We may be able to make a contribution towards course related trips. Please include details of the trip and associated costs with application (Paid directly to Curriculum)
 

       Tier 2 Funding (Household income of £10,001- £16,190)

  • Travel Contribution: Distance/ Postcode based travel contribution based on number of days in College
  • Meal Contribution: Meal contribution of £2.00 per College day for 34 weeks
  • Books/ Stationery/UCAS Student Payment Contribution: Contribution of £50
  • Course Specific Materials Contribution: Up to a maximum of £50 for course specific materials (i.e. Art)
  • Course Specific Kit Contribution: 100% of kit costs but only up to a maximum of £234
  • Childcare:children above 3 years of age and up to a maximum contribution of £150 per week per family for full time courses or £100 per week per family for part time courses (or a maximum of 5 additional hours per week if your child is eligible for a Nursery Education Grant). (Paid directly to childcare provider)
  • College Trips Contribution: We may be able to make a contribution towards course related trips. Please include details of the trip and associated costs with application (Paid directly to Curriculum)
 

       Tier3 Funding(Household income of £16,191-£23,000)

  • Travel Contribution: Distance/ Postcode based travel contribution based on number of days in College
  • Meal Contribution: Meal contribution of £1.50 per College day for 34 weeks
  • Books/ Stationery/UCAS Student Payment Contribution: Contribution of £50
  • Course Specific Materials Contribution: Up to a maximum of £50 for course specific materials (i.e. Art)
  • Meal Contribution: Free College Meal £2.41 per day (check eligibility- criteria below) for 34 weeks
  • Course Specific Kit Contribution: 100% of kit costs but only up to a maximum of £157
  • Childcare: children above 3 years of age and up to a maximum contribution of £150 per week per family for full time courses or £100 per week per family for part time courses (or a maximum of 5 additional hours per week if your child is eligible for a Nursery Education Grant). (Paid directly to childcare provider)
  • College Trips Contribution: We may be able to make a contribution towards course related trips. Please include details of the trip and associated costs with application (Paid directly to Curriculum)
