Hair and Make-Up Students prepare The Rose Theatre cast of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Hair and Make-Up students have been working behind the scenes with the cast of the Rose Theatre’s Christmas Production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Make-Up students prepared the cast for a magazine cover shoot, Barbering students have given the male cast ‘Peaky Blinder’ haircuts, and hair and make-up students are behind the scenes grooming the cast for each performance during the show’s Christmas run at The Rose.

During February, our Level 3 Hairdressing learners were out on work experience. The feedback we are receiving from the learners and employers has been very encouraging - and as a result:

Hannah Burns & Emma Watmore have been offered part time employment in Headquarters & The Park Salon in Kingston. Both employers were delighted with the students and they exceeded their expectations.

Mint Salon in Twickenham is really happy with Rosie Bassett: Rosie has being offered a full time position as a stylist when her course is completed.

Some of our other employers that we are working with have commented:

Elizabeth Paige Salon in Bedfont: “Tara is doing really well and the Salon is happy to work with her to support her.”

Ecstatic in Kennington London said: “Melissa has brilliant skills and is great in the salon.” They have also offered Melissa options regarding employment on completion of her course.

Robert Neil, Richmond, said: “Shannon is a star! She is really developing well and works well in a busy salon.”

Spirit of Beauty Surbiton said: “Laaura has good skills, is developing a client list  and copes well in the busy salon.”
