Students benefit from Healthy Start

Students benefit from Healthy Start 12 February, 2018

Students recently benefitted from the wide opportunities offered by a Healthy Start event held in Deli KC. This multi-agency experience allowed students to receive important information on leading a healthy lifestyle.

The organisations who took part gave great tips and informed students about the range of support and services available to help them with physical, sexual and mental health issues. There were brain busting and stress reducing activities for the run up to exams. The Students’ Union teamed up with the Mental Health Ambassadors to bring fun and informative games that helped promote healthy eating and its link to positive mental health and mood. Personal trainers from KC Active were also on hand to give advice on incorporating physical activity to daily life to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Around 200 students attended the event and a big thanks goes to Cameron Booth, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology who brightened up everybody’s lunch break with his awesome DJ skills.
