BA (Hons) Art & Design (Top-Up)

The BA (Hons) Art & Design final year degree programme is offered as a top-up qualification for learners who have gained a relevant FdA, HND or equivalent qualification and who want to continue studying to Honours level.

Foundation Degree (FdA) Art & Design

The Foundation Degree (FdA) focuses on 'making as thinking', with studio work at the centre of study. Learners will refine their own art and design work, forming a basis for confident and self-directed practice in the creative industries.

Foundation Diploma Art & Design

This Foundation Diploma is a programme of experimental and integrated learning. It is designed to ensure that a full range of learning opportunities is provided which is necessary to help students be aware of the demands of art and design. The programme recognises the importance of independent thinking, organisation and motivation, leading to an informed choice of progression opportunities.

HND Business

This course is validated by Kingston University and is delivered at Kingston College through a series of core modules which introduce the student to the world of business, the range of functions and employment roles within business and the knowledge and skills required to be successful.

BA (Hons) Business (Top-Up)

Validated by Kingston University, this course is suitable for HND Business (and associated subjects) students wishing to top-up to a full degree. Delivered through a combination of core and optional modules, this is an ideal route into junior management roles or as a gateway into post graduate education.

Access to Higher Education Subject Areas

Access to HE Art & Design

The Access to Higher Education Diploma - Art and Design will introduce learners to the breadth of disciplines across art, design and craft areas, through both theoretical and practical workshops that will enable learners to assemble an effective and personal portfolio to support applications and progression to higher education courses in art and design subjects. Specialist workshops include fine art, printmaking, 3D design, graphics and textiles as well as contextual modules looking at art and design from 1900 through to present day.

Access to HE Business

An alternative route to University or Higher Education for students aged 19+ who have been out of education for at least a year, the Access to Higher Education Diploma - Business Studies is designed to give adult students, who may have left school early or have been out of education for a number of years, the opportunity to develop academic skills, confidence and knowledge before applying to university.

Access to HE Computing

Access qualifications provide an alternative route to University or Higher Education for students aged 19+. The Access to Higher Education Diploma - Computing is for students who have a keen interest in the study of computing and a high level of commitment.

Access to HE Education and Teacher Training

An alternative route to University or Higher Education for students aged 19+ who have been out of education for at least a year, the Access to Higher Education Diploma - Education and Teacher Training is designed to give adult students, who may have left school early or have been out of education for a number of years, the opportunity to develop academic skills, confidence and knowledge before applying to university.

Access to HE Engineering

The Access to HE Diploma - Engineering is an ideal course for adults aged 19+ who have a keen interest in the study of engineering in Higher Education.

Access to HE Humanities, Social Science and Law

The programme is made up of a mixture of specialist subjects and a core support programme. All students will choose one lead and two further specialist subjects from Law, English, Sociology and Psychology.

Access to HE Nursing & Midwifery

An alternative route to University or Higher Education for students aged 19+ who have been out of education for at least a year, the Access to Higher Education Diploma - Nursing is designed to give adult students, who may have left school early or have been out of education for a number of years, the opportunity to develop academic skills, confidence and knowledge before applying to university.

Access to HE Paramedic Studies

The core subjects for Paramedic Science are Paramedic Studies and Biology. The remainder of the programme will comprise of Study Skills which are designed to provide all students with essential skills underpinning learning on the course and in undergraduate study for example note-taking, research methodologies and report-writing skills.

Access to HE Science

The Access to HE Diploma - Science is an ideal course for adults (anyone aged 19+) who have a keen interest in the study of science in Higher Education. The course is suitable for students with a wide range of previous educational or career experiences who now wish to pursue further study in science.

Access to HE Social Work

The core subjects for Social Work are Sociology, Psychology and Social Work studies. The remainder of the programme will comprise of Study Skills which are designed to provide all students with essential skills underpinning learning on the course and in undergraduate study for example note-taking, research methodologies and report-writing skills.
