This course will give you the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to pursue a career as a professional make up artist in theatre, fashion, video and television.
One Year, Part Time, Evening – Level 3 and 5
This course is for trainers in a business environment aimed at existing or potential in-house trainers and training consultants, and those who have training as part of their role.
10 Weeks, Part Time, Evening – Level 3
This is a practical course providing an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. It is ideal for those who would like an introduction to teaching or training in the Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS), unqualified teachers already employed in the LLS and technicians and support staff in further or adult education.
2 Years, Part Time, Evening (+ one Saturday per month) – Level 5
The course develops your awareness and knowledge of business, both generally and with direct relevance to your own work context. You will build upon, enhance and add to your existing business skills and develop study skills that will enable you to study successfully at university level.
We are running Adult ESOL and EFL (Day and Evening) courses from 3rd January to 24th March 2017.
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes are run at a variety of different levels, from Elementary to Advanced or Proficiency. All courses cover grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and give students the necessary speaking and listening skills practice to enable them to progress to the next level.
We are also delivering an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) course for 19+ students in January 2017. The ESOL Skills for Life programme is for people who wish to make their home in this country, for example settled immigrant communities, refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers.
The Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting introduces a range of basic accounting principles and techniques, making it suitable for people new to finance looking to develop an introductory level of knowledge and skills. The qualification covers techniques such as costing and double-entry bookkeeping to the use of accounting software.
The Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting is made up of a range of complex accounting tasks: Advanced Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Management Accounting Costing, Indirect Tax, Ethics for Accounting and Spreadsheets for Accounting.
The Level 2 Business & Administration Apprenticeship is particularly suitable for those working in administrative, business support, office junior and receptionist roles.
Employers always need competent and efficient administrators. Learners will gain a certificate for things that they already can do and are competent at, whilst developing new skills and acquiring valuable background knowledge which will also lead to additional qualifications.
Apprentices study a number of core units awarded by CILEx including Client Care Skills, Introduction to Law and Practice, Contract Law and Civil Litigation.
Apprentices study a number of mandatory and optional units including facial skin care, eyebrows and eyelash enhancement, waxing, manicure and pedicure, make up, salon reception duties.
Apprentices study a number of mandatory and optional units including styling and dressing, colouring and lightening, cutting using a combination of techniques, colour correction, creative hairdressing, hair and scalp treatments.
Apprentices study a number of mandatory and optional units including providing information and advice to customers in a retail environment, working effectively in your retail team, promoting loyalty schemes, demonstrating products, processing payments, employee Rights & Responsibilities, and personal learning and thinking skills.
Apprentices study a number of mandatory and optional units including techniques and processes for effective selling, understanding business awareness in sales, principles of presentations and demonstrations in sales, processing payments for purchases in a retail environment.
