This is a practical course providing an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. It is ideal for those who would like an introduction to teaching or training in the Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS), unqualified teachers already employed in the LLS and technicians and support staff in further or adult education.
The course develops your awareness and knowledge of business, both generally and with direct relevance to your own work context. You will build upon, enhance and add to your existing business skills and develop study skills that will enable you to study successfully at university level.
English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes are run at a variety of different levels, from Elementary to Advanced or Proficiency. All courses cover grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and give students the necessary speaking and listening skills practice to enable them to progress to the next level.
We also offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for 16-18 and 19+ students. The ESOL Skills for Life programme is for people who wish to make their home in this country - for example, settled immigrant communities, refugees, asylum seekers and migrant workers.
Apprentices study a number of mandatory and optional units including styling and dressing, colouring and lightening, cutting using a combination of techniques, colour correction, creative hairdressing, hair and scalp treatments.
