Kingston College Media Hair and Make-Up students worked behind the scenes with the cast of Surbiton High School’s Production of The Wind in the Willows which took place at the prestigious New Wimbledon Theatre.
The talented Level 2 Diploma in Media Hair and Make-Up students prepared the cast for each of the four performances during the show’s run from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th November. The students provided hair and make-up to around 75 performers from Years 3 to 13 who entertained audiences totalling over 2000 people.
Christina Eyles, Lecturer - Beauty Therapy (Make up), commented: “The students were incredibly professional working to deadlines to complete hair and make-up to each character in the time-frame ready for each performance. I was so proud of how professional they were. The work they achieved was fabulous and hopefully this will lead to more work experience.”
The students said: “I really enjoyed the experience working with a theatre production’’ and “I’m so happy I can update my CV with this and can’t wait for more work experience!’’
