The course is structured around four themes:
Health and wellbeing
Legislation, frameworks and professional practice
Play, development and learning for school readiness
Applicants should have good IT skills and places are dependant on a satisfactory reference and interview.
Duration and Delivery
Up to 2 years to complete the programme with one evening per week at College and possibly one day release if GCSEs or ICT need to be completed.
On successful completion of this Intermediate Apprenticeship, learners can progress onto the Advanced Apprenticeship for the Children & Young People’s Workforce (Early Years Educator Pathway) from which it is possible to go onto the Foundation Degree programme in a relevant study area.
Cost - An employer contribution is required for learners aged 19 or over.
