ESOL Destination courses are for more advanced ESOL students and consist of both English (ESOL) and vocational study, leading to nationally recognised qualifications. You will study ESOL with Level 1 Business.
ContentYou will study the following units:
- Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge
- Level 1 Certificate in Business Administration
- ESOL: speaking, listening, reading and writing
Entry RequirementsYou do not need to have any previous qualifications in business. You should have a pass at ESOL Entry 3 or equivalent. You will be interviewed before you enrol on the course, and you will have a written assessment to establish your level of language skills.
DurationThe course runs part-time over 3 terms and requires approximately 6 hours a week of study. The days and times are to be confirmed.
ProgressionYou will be encouraged to develop your own learning plans for the future and you will have the opportunity to get advice from careers advisers and other agencies. When you complete this course, you may wish to go onto further study leading towards Level 2 in Business, following a successful application and interview.
Additional InformationAssessment Method- Assessment is continuous throughout the course and you will build a portfolio of work leading to Level 1 qualifications. You will also work towards Skills for Life English.
