Entry Requirements

We will meet with you at least twice before offering you a place in order to be sure, along with you, that Pathway is the right course for you. Part of our process at this stage is about checking your basic skills. As part of this process you need to sit a Maths and English Diagnostic and gain at least level 1 in both these subjects to be considered for the course.  Normally during this stage we will meet with your family/carers and also we will be in touch with your most recent school or college. A satisfactory reference from your last school or college is essential.
If you are thinking of joining Pathway in Year 11 there is an additional part to the process. You will need to be referred by your sponsoring school, or other agency. If you are a year 11 age applicant you must have permission to attend College from your parents/carers and we must receive official authorisation from the necessary school or agency.

Duration and Delivery

1 year, full time.

Pathway students can go on to GCSE or other vocational Level Two courses in the College, such as BTEC Level 2 Award in Business. A small number of our former students will go straight onto work upon successfully finishing the course.
