- Cut men's hair to create a variety of looks
- Cut facial hair to create a variety of looks
- Provide shaving and face massage services
- Provide scalp massage services
Applicants must have successfully completed a Level 2 in Hairdressing or Barbering and have a minimum of 12 months experience of working in the hair or barbering industry.. In addition, applicants who are aged 16 - 19 must be required to work towards GCSE grade C in English/Maths.
All applicants must provide satisfactory references, conduct a successful interview and attend diagnostic screening.
This course commences in October with attendance 2 - 3 days a week in college (this will include some evenings), working with experience within a Barber's one day a week. In addition a minimum of 150 hours must be conducted working within our Headmasters Academy on live clients.
Learners can progress into employment as a Barber or progress onto a Higher National Certificate in Hair & Beauty Management
Learners will need to purchase their own kit and uniform for practical lessons. Further information regarding kit, uniform and other equipment and materials will be given at advice and guidance/interview sessions. Early application is advised as these courses are popular.
