- Cut facial hair to create a variety of looks
- Provide shaving and face massage services
- Provide scalp massage services
Applicants must have successfully completed a Level 2 course in Hairdressing or Barbering and have a minimum of 12 months experience of working in the hair or barbering industry. In addition, applicants who are aged 16 - 19 are required to work towards GCSE grade C in English/Maths.
All applicants must provide satisfactory references, conduct a successful interview and attend diagnostic screening.
This course runs for 1 academic year and commences in October with attendance 2 - 3 days a week in college (this will include some evenings). Applicants should also have work experience or employment within a barber's one day a week. In addition, a minimum of 150 hours must be conducted working on clients in our Headmasters Academy.
Learners can progress into employment as a barber or progress onto a Higher National Certificate in Hair & Beauty Management.
Learners will need to purchase their own kit and uniform for practical lessons. Further information regarding kit, uniform and other equipment and materials will be given at advice and guidance/interview sessions. Early application is advised as these courses are popular.
