Higher Apprenticeship in HR Consultant/Partner

Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for an employer, earn a salary and at the same time study to achieve a nationally recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.

Apprenticeships are flexible and are designed to offer a structured programme of learning to fit around the needs of the individual and the employer and gain recognised qualifications.

The level 5 HR Apprenticeship standard for HR Consultant/Partner i.e. mid-level to senior managers. Individuals in this role will use their HR expertise to provide and lead the delivery of HR solutions to the business. They will need to link the work they do to the context and priorities of the business.

Employers always need competent and efficient HR staff. Learners will gain a qualification for things that they already can do and are competent at, whilst developing new skills and acquiring valuable background knowledge which will also lead to additional qualifications.

Course Content

Core Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

Knowledge; HR Technical expertise, Business understanding, HR function and MI and Technology.

Skills; HR Consultancy, Providing support and advice, Contributing to Business change, Building HR capability, HR Information Analysis, Personal Development and Relationship management.

Behaviours; Flexibility and Resilience.

Option; HR Specialism; Core HR.

Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their Apprenticeships.

Entry Requirements

Typically five GCSEs at Grade C or above.

Duration and Delivery

Typically this apprenticeship lasts between 2-3 years and will require study at Kingston College at least one day in nine and further off site work between college days. The course will use a mix of on line resources, academic texts and knowledge input from experienced qualified teachers and blended learning.

To achieve the final qualification an end point assessment will need to take place to test skills, knowledge and behaviours.

Progression

Successful completion of this standard will enable the individual to apply for Associate Membership (Assoc CIPD) of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Additional Information

The cost of this apprenticeship is £9000. However, if you are a non-levy payer the government will fund 90% of this course for you.

How can taking on an Apprentice help your business?

The Apprenticeship framework is designed to meet the needs of employers and to provide a vocational pathway into a profession. Intermediate level apprentices will train in roles appropriate to their chosen profession, learning on the job practical skills working at a business four days and attending college one day every other week.
