This course will introduce you to the intermediate skills which you will need for your chosen service. It will be a mix of theory and practical sessions and you will need to buy and wear the course uniform during your time at college. The qualification will develop learner's skills and personal qualities in preparation for all areas of employment and provide a basis for further study and motivation towards career development. Another aim of this qualification is to promote positive attitudes and responses to differences in gender, social and cultural backgrounds and abilities of individuals.

Entry RequirementsFour GCSEs, at grade D/3 or above including English and Mathematics, or a BTEC/NCFE Level 1 at a Pass grade plus English and Maths GCSE or Functional Skills. Successful interview and satisfactory reference are also essential.
Duration and Delivery
ProgressionBTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Public Services (subject to meeting the entry criteria which includes achievement of the Level 2 at Distinction grade).

Additional InformationInformation regarding days of attendance and enrolment date will be given at advice and guidance sessions. A contribution charge of £177.50 (includes gym membership and polo shirt) will be payable to cover resources and field trips. Early application is advisable as this course is very popular.
