The Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Public Services is a one year programme which will give you an insight into the different uniformed services, from fire-fighters, the army and the police to mountain rescue. This qualification will help you understand the importance of team work and effective communication within the Public Services.
Course ContentThis course provides learners with an excellent grounding in the skills and knowledge needed for a career in uniformed services or progression onto the next level.

Entry RequirementsFour GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, which must include English and Mathematics and a Level 3 90 Credit/Subsidiary Diploma in Public Services at Pass grade plus successful completion of GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), an excellent reference and a successful interview.
Duration and Delivery
ProgressionEmployment into various uniformed and non-uniformed public services, for example the army, police, firefighters and custodial care or progression to higher education.
Additional InformationEarly application is advisable as this course is very popular. Information regarding days of attendance and enrolment date will be given at advice and guidance sessions. Also there is an additional charge of £450; this cost is for a residential trip for a week.
