Year 1 - Functional anatomy, Applied sport and exercise psychology, Specialised fitness testing, Coaching for performance and fitness, Applied research methods for sport & exercise Science and an optional unit of the students choice from a range of sport and exercise science topics.
Year 2 - Student will progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science and choose subjects to suit their chosen career or university pathway.

Matt Sedgwick - Sport and Exercise Science +Matt studied BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science at Kingston College and was also a member of the Men’s Football Academy. Matt previously attended The Matthew Arnold School and is now in his first year at University of Wolverhampton studying BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. What was college life like? College life wasn’t quite what I expected: it was a pleasant surprise at how comfortable I was during my time at Kingston, I felt a great transition from secondary school to further education. Favourite part of your course? The ability to play football while studying, with a great set of lectures and lessons especially during my last year. Did you take up any opportunities during your time at college which benefited you? I achieved a Level 1 Coaching Certificate so I could externally volunteer to coach football which is something I really enjoy. Any fond memories of former tutors /other students? Going on the paintball trip with the football team with former tutors, Martyn and Alex, as well as Charlie (our coach) was a lot of fun.
