We spoke to Hannah Anderson, who is studying a Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship at Kingston College, about how the course has helped her excel in her career as Director of Membership and Partnerships at signing charity, Makaton.

Why did you choose the course?

I chose the course in order to enhance my knowledge of business and support my role.

What are the most enjoyable aspects or highlights of your course?

I am able to put the learnings of the course straight into practice

Can you provide examples of any particular achievements or describe how you have overcome any difficulties on your course so far?

I am gaining confidence in report writing and understanding the terminologies that are used in my Senior and Trustee meetings.

How have your studies helped you in your current role?

It has supported my understanding in my style of learning and work style. It has built my confidence with understanding how to manage budgets and plan the projects I lead on.

What are your hopes, goals and/or plans for the future?

I aspire to remain a Director and build my knowledge and understanding and to move up within the role. I also aspire to use my knowledge to benefit the Charities and Organisations I move to in the future.

Do you have any advice for other potential students looking to enrol?

If you are in management or pre senior position and looking to gain a broader understanding of all business aspects, I would recommend attending this course. You can put the principles straight into your business practice.
