Jason Aduobi joined Kingston College four years ago on the Level 2 in Health & Social Care and then completed our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health & Social Care with a Triple Distinction*, the equivalent of 3 A* at A Level. Jason is a wonderful alumnus who returned to Kingston College in November to deliver a fabulous and motivational employability talk to current BTEC Sport Science and Health & Social Care students.

Jason says: “Kingston College is known as a very, very good college with important links and I knew it could help me excel. Four years ago, my friends and I went along to an Open Event as we were deciding which college to go to. It was amazing seeing the courses and the opportunities that Kingston offered which then sealed my decision to apply to Kingston.

“I am currently studying Physiotherapy BSc(Hons) at Brighton University. When I complete my degree I would like to get a job in the NHS, then expand my knowledge in the field and potentially move on to private work and then community physio, which is going to patients’ houses and treating them there instead of in hospital.

“Kingston College helped me get to where I am now as my teachers moved me onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma - this move enabled me to gain the equivalent of 3 A Levels, and solidified my chance in getting into uni and covering more subjects such as anatomy, biology and chemistry.”

When Jason completed his studies at Kingston College his former tutor, Verrol Tomlinson said: “For three years Jason excelled and achieved at the highest level through Levels 2 and 3 at Kingston College. We are extremely proud of his achievement and progression to university – his achievement is nothing short of exemplary, topping up from the Subsidiary Diploma, completing the equivalent of a full diploma course in one year and graduating with a Triple Distinction*.”

Upon graduation from Kingston College in 2020, Jason was recognised as an Honoured Alumni with a group in his School named after him.
