BTEC 1st year Graphic Design students worked on a festive project to design the College Christmas cards with 5 winning card designs chosen.
The theme was Peace. Students worked in teams initially to brainstorm ideas then developed their designs individually. Ideas were created using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, manipulating colour creating textures and patterns using multiple layering and blending techniques. The students worked over a two week timetable to produce ideas from thumbnails, presenting and critique to final artwork.
The students presented their designs to STCG Group Principal and CEO, Peter Mayhew-Smith and Kingston College Principal, Mike Tweedale, who then collectively chose the 5 winners.
